On November 18, Page Trucking announced it will acquire Goulet Trucking, a bulk carrier based in Massachusetts. The news was released by the carrier in an official announcement.

The merger is a key step in building one of North America's largest specialized bulk carriers. According to the announcement, the transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026, at which point the combined entity will operate over 500 trucks and 1,500 pieces of equipment.

According to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) data, Page Trucking, headquartered in Weedsport, New York, currently has 202 drivers; Goulet Trucking's FMCSA company snapshot shows it has 110 drivers.

As part of the merger, the parties will form a new entity, Page G.T.C., to "further integrate two leading companies in the specialized bulk transportation sector."

The companies said the combined operations "will expand Page Trucking's specialized bulk transportation strategy, bringing multiple benefits, including significant operational synergies in equipment utilization, as well as expanded capacity coverage through specialized overweight-permitted equipment."

As industry forecasts predicted, merger and acquisition activity is heating up this year as carriers seek to further improve operational efficiency. The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) found that overall operating costs moderated in 2024, but growth in several areas, including trailer payments and driver benefits costs, exceeded the rate of inflation.

Page Trucking President Dan Titus said in a statement that the merger is the next step in the company's efforts to expand its specialized bulk transportation capabilities.

"By combining our nationwide network with Goulet's leading hazardous and non-hazardous waste transportation capabilities in the Northeast, we are building a stronger, more resilient organization that will benefit customers across the bulk transportation industry," Titus said.

Page Trucking will continue to maintain its Weedsport headquarters. Both companies will retain their respective personnel, but will be managed by a new senior leadership team composed of executives from both sides.

Goulet Trucking co-owner Paul Jordan said the merger will provide more equipment and driver resources and expand its operational reach across North America.

"Together, we are well-positioned for future success—expanding our reach and driving industry change," Jordan said.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
